Cặp song sinh khác cha đầu tiên tại Việt Nam

 

heo tờ Mirror của Anh, một người đàn ông Việt Nam sau khi nhận thấy cặp bé gái song sinh  2 tuổi của mình có quá nhiều điểm khác biệt về ngoại hình (một em bé có mái tóc dày, gợn sóng còn em bé kia lại có mái tóc thẳng, mỏng tang) đã quyết định tiến hành xét nghiệm DNA, để rồi tá hỏa phát hiện chỉ có một trong hai em bé là con mình.

 

Tuy nhiên, kết quả xét nghiệm cũng cho thấy: hai em bé này dù khác cha nhưng vẫn có cùng một mẹ. Từ đó, cặp vợ chồng này loại bỏ giả thiết cho rằng con của mình bị tráo đổi trong bệnh viện khi mới sinh.

Sinh đôi khác cha là trường hợp vô cùng hiếm. Từ khi xuất hiện công nghệ DNA xác định quan hệ cha con tới nay, trên thế giới mới ghi nhận khoảng hơn mười ca như vậy. Lý do của hiện tượng đặc biệt này như sau : Bình thường, cơ thể người phụ nữ rụng mỗi tháng một trứng, nhưng có một số trường hợp, họ có thể rụng hai trứng. Theo Bác sĩ  Keith Eddleman, giám đốc ngành sản khoa tại Bệnh viện Mount Sinai ( New York) thì thời gian trứng có thể thụ tinh thường rất ngắn, chỉ khoảng từ 12 đến 48 tiếng, nhưng tinh trùng lại có thể sống trong cơ thể phụ nữ từ 7 đến 10 ngày Vì vậy nếu người phụ nữ có quan hệ tình dục với 2 người đàn ông chỉ cách nhau vài ngày thì có thể  thụ thai với cả 2 người. Đây gọi là bội thụ tinh đồng kỳ (superfecundation). *

Tuy vậy theo tờ Mirror cho biết những tình tiết chính xác về vụ việc trên vẫn chưa rõ ràng.

1- Superfecundation twins: When a woman has intercourse with two different men in a short period of time while ovulating, it’s possible for both men to impregnate her separately. In this case, two different sperm impregnate two different eggs. This is what happened to the woman in New Jersey. One child was the product of her relationship with the man she brought to court, and the other child was conceived during a separate encounter with another man. While this phenomenon is rare, research suggests it does happen from time to time. A 1992 studyfound that superfecundation twins were at the root of more than 2% of paternity suits in the United States involving twins.

2- Fraternal twins (50% shared genetics): Fraternal twins result when two separate sperm fertilize two separate eggs. Both babies are a mix of the mother and father, but they don’t share the exact same genetics.

3- Polar body twins (75% shared genetics): You might think of polar body twins as half-identical twins. They occur when an egg divides in two during ovulation, creating a primary body and a polar body, both of which have the same genetics. In most cases, the polar body, which has less cytoplasm, will die off, but in some cases both the primary body and the polar body will be fertilized by separate sperm creating twins with identical genetics from the mother and different genetics from the father. While the theory of polar twinning makes sense from a scientific perspective, there’s some disagreement among scientists about whether polar twinning actually occurs in the real world.
4- Identical twins (100% shared genetics): Identical twins result when a single sperm fertilizes a single egg and the resulting cell then divides in two. The two bodies, soon to be babies, share the same genetics and look the same.
